If the tool we have is a hammer then everything looks like a nail. Only one method need apply.
Because persistent painful conditions remain largely cortical over muscular-physiological, the hammer needs to be put back in the tool box until there is enough healing to allow it back out.
So lets consider ancient and mysterious existential principles in healing.
Lets make sure we understand allopathy in one sentence first.
Western Medicine says the structure is at fault and is separate from the whole. Fix it, pacify it, remove it, medicate it, cure it.

Mind-Body medicine says the Mind is the slayer and the healer. Become the witness to the observer, observing your every thought and action. Do not grasp. Let go and observe without need for changing or fixing. Just Be.
Ayruveda says disease is the imbalances of those mysterious attributes we possess as ‘Doshas” forms of substances/energies contained in us all….That the world is based on aakash (space), jala (water), prithvi (earth), teja (fire). Moving toward harmony in these realms is the focus of health and healing.
Traditional Chinese Medicine says Healing is the problem and the solution based on the movement and flow of Qi. All disease begins with emotional states of being.
Quantum Practices says consciousness is the pathway to healing. Our thoughts manifest our reality into being. Change your thoughts. Change your habits. Change your personal reality.
The wisdom practices see the “whole.”
It is universal and un-necessary in the traditional sense to explain it. This unifying thread, the Cosmological Consciousness coined by Alan Watts. We embody the bodies innate wisdom to self correct, to heal and live out our full destiny in this life. Understand the subjective nature of Fate and allow the path to be laid out toward one’s Destiny.
Trauma Freezes Time
Traumatic experiences find themselves wrapped up in large population of chronic pain conditions. Rejection, abandonment, loss of justice and sovereignty over one’s bodily and mental autonomy are forsaken for safety.
This is the most simplified notation of Trauma: That we allow our genuine selves to be put away for the sake of safety of others.
It begins in childhood.
Trauma is akin to loss of mobility in life. It is a frozen record in time.
Trauma stops all time, like a deeply buried time capsule.
Chronic pain has its equivalent in that the memories are emotionally baked into the hardwiring of the injury or disease. There may be this sense when it is recognized that we are forever trapped in a pain cycle without end.
Our history of pain collides with our mental emotional state at the moment of impact-injury to our body. This kinetic energy that tears flesh and breaks bones, finds the path of least resistance to navigate through.
If our state of mind is open it will pass through our body until it succeeds in running its course to extinction.
If we are holding negative emotional state ( anger, resentment, overbearing-protracted grief) this kinetic energy may be held in full stop in our tissues. Trapped and frozen into the time-space continuity. This moment in time stops and we bear the brunt of this existence unconsciously.
Our most conservative centers in our central nervous system react reflexively to preserve our life at whatever means necessary. We Re-act (Unconscious Awareness) to life and living vs Act (Conscious Awareness)
We can take these wisdom practices to sort out and re-mend the pathways to health and healing by:
Minding the playground in our head.
Creating orders of concentric circles of support that allows for complete self responsibility to each and every action we take for the order of optimal healing. Be it Integrative health professionals, guru-mentors-life coaches-counselors in all ranges and sizes… What fits your demeanor?
In order to heal these states of suffering our lives must change.
We must come into being in an ever unfolding evolution unto our old selves, letting go of the past and re-newing and re-educating into our faith as our perfect made selves.
