Life Long Apprenticeship
Three Developing Domains to supporting a healing trajectory for another
“ Self knowledge can and ought to apply not only to the soul but also the body.
One without insight into the fabric of the body has no knowledge of themselves.” j muir
There are three dominate domains in which wise practitioners are adept at. All three when understood and embodied bring a great sense of reslience and salience in the capacity to heal from wounding and injury. There are many ways to establish these though I am aware in my own practice that over time, it takes time to cultivate these skills. Patience is key. Letting go is necessary to grow exponentially in this practice.
Cognitive Apprenticeship
You have to think completely about complex things. r sapolsky
These Learners can see the process of the work. It materializes by doing and imitating. Imitation permits us to extend to the other some of the “familiar” regard we feel for ourselves. We gain insight from inhabiting an active role in the world rather than as a passive observer.
This domain holds the rational seat. There is a methodical nature to deconstruction and reconstruction of events. Linear and in pieces is what defines one in the middle of understanding the root causes of their painful states.
Sensing-Feeling Apprenticeship
“It is a holy book, scripture with a life perfectly told… with a majesty and grace moving you from within…to enjoy the divine inspiration.” g hedley
These Learners feel into and around their life. They get their cues from the changing energy variations as they walk through space and time. Sensitive and empathic. In effect they are our human sensors into the world: Human nodes that connect to the vibratory creations emanating from the electro-magnetic wave forms born of Light.
Attunement is critical in this domain fore, it acts as a rudder to navigate the logic-cognitive minds analysis of things real and concrete. Within the pain paradigm they are uniquely ahead in the language of the body, what one would call the unconscious mind.
Kinesthetic Apprenticeship
“Improving our self-image to approximate our true nature will create lasting and effective movements in our body.”
These Learners can feel and adjust to the gravitational forces being exerted on our planet. They are as agile on the ground as they are turned upside down in the air, using their righting reflexes to land on their feet. By their curated proprioceptive sensitivity they have formed a motorical resiliency to alter movements to ease pain, and economize mobility.
All three domains investigated and well proportioned will ameliorate any persistent neuro-musculo-skeletal angst one may have. When we, as healing practitioners in a wise practice, find ourselves in the ritual of pain and ease there is born of this work to understand, sense, move with and through the veils of suffering.
Inquiry: In what apprenticeship do you find yourselves the majority of the time? Are you mixed and balanced? How do you know?
