Heal Back and Neck Pain Now!
an Integrative Physios approach to healing the maladaptive patterns and freeing the body from pain and long lasting discomfort. A case study in 4 decades of Back Pain

Watch the video here on his process.
Healing Persistent Back Pain from an Integrative perspective
My older brother Kevin asked me to help him with his body pain. Shoulder, Neck, Low back, rib, knee, foot, toe. You get the picture.
This is the gift we offer everyone from our friends and colleagues to family and cocktail attendees.
We are in service to others because we chose the path of healing. It is a waveform of Love and isn’t it Lovely that others, regardless of their story are asking ”US”for help.
HOW?
OBSERVATION-ASSESSMENT
Observe the whole body in a standing, quiet position.
Observe it in kinetic action. See how all the parts move, or do not move in relation to another.
The progressive walking lesson
I use this quite a bit as part of assessing, treating and as part of the home exercise program. It is a powerful tool because it assesses coordinated effort through the chain as well as visual-perceptual relationships and habituated patterns with complex motor activity. Even more important is that it confabulates the CNS bombarding it with information to work with because it is new and Novel and challenging at first. As it becomes integrated new conditions are put into place to change old habituated static and dynamic postures.
I took a few unsuspecting photos of him. Upon reviewing he stated he was “disgusted” and looks older than he felt. His functional age is younger than his mid 60’s age. He works out in the gym and has a vegan diet and a history as an competitive athlete.
This movement practice-lesson brings awareness of one’s proprioceptive-kinesthetic state.
It is important because it brings alignment together physically and energetically. It also opens the body to finding other, healthy movement patterns back to health regardless of what joint or muscle is bothering them.
Novelty is a key factor for any changed state. When there is a felt sense of improvement immediately the new neuropathways will be connected with consistent practice. Eventually like any habit it will be integrated into the subconscious routine as the body takes over controls in maintaining a life long practice of healthy mobility.
Kevin was able to see and feel the change after this lesson.
We did speak of ergonomics with seated tasks.
Clinical Pearl.
Try this script out with the patient/client:
“Touch the edge of your discomfort/pain and take a few breaths and see if it begins to transform ( melt, ease, go away)”
Ask yourself:
“Is it safe to move into this range?”
“Does it feel injurious?”
“Is it Okay?”
“Repeat this and see if you can move further with less resistance.”
When we are able to meet discomfort in this way the nervous system is now being reprogrammed to minimize the unconsciously built protective mechanisms to restrict mobility for safety sake.
The considerations/healing of the initial injuries have had their physical mending.
A limiting factor to mobility is the continuation of the minds belief ( in fear) it still needs to protect the body from harm.
